Right wingers may end up on libertarian’s web site.

As if Rick Perry doesn’t have enough problems in his quest for the white house:

RickPerry.com has recently started forwarding to RonPaul2012.com.

Rick Perry’s official web site is RickPerry.org.

The sad thing for the Perry campaign is that Rick Perry could have easily acquired the .com version for little money. It expired in 2010. I even wrote about how it had expired. Someone from Perry’s office read my story about the expiration but failed to do anything about it.

Instead, someone from Mexico registered the domain name. It currently has a private whois record, but you can buy it for $50,000 at Sedo.

Don’t be surprised if the current owner has more fun with it.

Texas Governor Rick Perry Domain Name Expires

May 13, 2010Domaining, Domainnamewire, expired domain, Expired Domains, rick perryComments Off on Texas Governor Rick Perry Domain Name Expires

RickPerry.com domain expires; official site is hosted on .org.

Rick PerryTexas Governor Rick Perry is in the middle of a gubernatorial race, which isn’t a good time for the RickPerry.com domain name to expire.

The governor’s main campaign web site, operated by Texans for Rick Perry, is RickPerry.org. But that doesn’t keep people from visiting the .com address by mistake.

For the past year RickPerry.com has forwarded to or mirrored the .org web site. Then the domain name expired on May 4, showing a parked page full of ads instead.

RickPerry.com appears to be owned by an entity called CampaignWeb. The registered contact is Robert Holcomb.

This isn’t the first time the RickPerry.com domain name has expired. Just last year it expired at the same time, although the owner came back to renew it during the grace period before it was deleted.
